Metro United Way
Metro United Way is a local, independent non-profit organization founded in Louisville in 1917 as the Louisville Federation of Social Agencies. Today Metro United Way helps support more than 90 health and human service agencies serving residents of Bullitt, Jefferson, Oldham, and Shelby Counties in Kentucky and Clark, Floyd, and Harrison Counties in Indiana . |

Metropolitan Housing Coalition
Since 1988, the Metropolitan Housing Coalition has been the united voice for fair, decent and affordable housing in the Louisville metropolitan region. MHC is a private, non-profit organization representing over 170 member organizations and more than 250 individual members. |

The Making Connections Network consists of network members and network partners. Through the network, members and their families become interconnected to one another strengthening the community. River City Housing is a non-profit organization committed to developing high-quality homes that are affordable for low- and moderate-income families in Louisville Metro. Through partnerships with business, government, and community groups, River City Housing has produced one hundred new single-family homes and twelve affordable senior apartments.

Signature Partnership Initiative
In February 2007, UofL President James Ramsey announced the launch of the Signature Partnership Initiative (SPI), an effort to enhance the quality of life for residents of West Louisville. The goal of the SPI is to work with various community partners to improve the educational, health, economic and social status of individuals and families who live in our urban core.
