  • Over 2300 members in the Network
  • 247 employed, 84% in jobs with benefits
  • 77 young adults engaged in GED preparation, post-secondary education, and jobs through Youth Opportunities Unlimited
  • 52% obtained employment
  • 9 obtained GED's
  • 4 entered college
  • 5 completed occupational training
  • 56 ex-offenders graduated from Louisville Urban League's "Making it Work" job training and placement initiative
  • 844 families received free tax services at VITA sites in Making Connections neighborhoods in 2006
  • $628,323 in earned income tax credits received by families who filed at VITA sites in Making Connections neighborhoods in 2006
  • 52 network members completed a personal financial vision statement and financial action plan, including 14 Network Savers
  • 29 childcare providers and family, friend, and neighbor providers participated in early childhood development and literacy training, impacting over 300 children and families
  • 1 lending library established at Dawson-Orman Early Childhood Education Center
